Gregory T. Labagh

Immediate Past Chair, Board of Trustees

Gregory Labagh is a CPA and a member of the AICPA, the California Society of CPAs, the California Society of CPAs’ Committee on Management of an Accounting Practice, the Steering Committee of Financial Review, the Board of the Olympic Club 2000-2003, and the Hanna Boys Center Board of Trustees. He holds a BA in Business Administration, concentration in Accounting, from San Francisco State University.Mr. Labagh and his wife Jo have 4 children, Alexandra, Julian (students at Fordham University), Kathryn (attending Convent of the Sacred Heart) and Joseph (attending Stuart Hall), and he is also active in church activities. Director Gregory Labagh has helped Shea Labagh Dobberstein’s clients in the areas of tax planning, estate planning, strategic and business planning, and financial oversight for twenty years. Prior to joining Shea Labagh Dobberstein, he was involved with VISTA and the Peace Corps, and he worked for eight years in private industry.

Don McPhail

Chair, Hanna Regents

Don McPhail has served on Hanna Boys Center’s volunteer Board of Directors for over 10 years in various capacities including Chair, Board of Trustees, and now as Chair, Hanna Regents. Don has contributed countless hours on the Development Committee, the Finance Committee, Governance Committee, and Golf & Tennis Classic Committee. In 2006, Don also served on the Evening with the All-Stars Committee which helped raise an amazing $250,000 in a single evening.Don’s professional career is varied and successful. As a young man, Don proudly served the United States Navy prior to entering the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, where he lettered in football and baseball. Don later joined United Airlines in San Francisco, working at night while earning his degree in international relations and world literature at San Francisco State University. He also played football at SF State and was later inducted into the SFSU Athletic Hall of Fame. Shortly after graduation, he was promoted to the position of National Commercial Sales Manager at United Airlines’ Chicago headquarters. He subsequently joined Hawaiian Airlines as Marketing Manager.After fifteen years in the airline business, Don took a brief “time-out” from corporate America to raise his family in a small town in Oregon, where he worked as a published writer, successful high school football coach and consultant for the state of Oregon. Upon his sons’ graduation, Don accepted the position of General Manager for a luxury resort on Maui.In 1995, Don returned to the mainland and became Marketing Vice President for one of the nation’s largest event planning companies. At the same time, his good friend, Don Feehan, introduced him to Hanna Center, where he joined the board of directors. In 2007, Don retired from corporate life and he continues to support Hanna Boys Center. His comment says it all: “Hanna Boys Center is a special place, where some of the most courageous boys in the world come to heal, learn and grow. They are willing to confront their lives every day, straight on, and overcome some of the most difficult, heartbreaking personal experiences – and become positive, responsible, and productive adults.
