I, whole heartedly, support the work the Hanna Boys Center does, to give boys who would otherwise be lost a chance to take control of their lives and become productive human beings. For everyone who succeeds in the program, the community owes you a debt of gratitude. I can’t imagine a more rewarding pursuit.

Volunteer
Volunteers are welcome and needed in various areas at Hanna. Some examples are, helping with campus upkeep and beautification, volunteering for special events and fundraisers, tutoring boys, assisting in the library or volunteering in the dental clinic. Our dental clinic depends upon a large team of volunteer professionals. Tutors in the school are used to assist in the library or to help the boys with their reading. Special events are an opportunity for those who cannot volunteer on an ongoing basis. We’re even open to any ideas you might have to help improve Hanna.
We will gladly work with you to determine your interests, skills, and availability. An orientation program and fingerprinting are provided by the Center.

Our Mission
Hanna Boys Center relies solely on private donations from individuals, private foundations and local corporations. Over 20,000 individual donors contribute to HBC every year. HBC does not solicit or accept funds from any government or public funding agency, nor from the Catholic Church.
What is perhaps most remarkable about Hanna is that it has been wholly self-supporting since 1949, receiving no monies from either government agencies or the Catholic Church.
Hanna Boys Center has been fortunate to have a succession of talented board members who have provided astute oversight of the Center’s endowment, allowing the Center to draw approximately $7 million dollars in annual operating expenses. Without this expert financial management, Hanna Boys Center would not be able to provide its services to troubled boys and their families for little to no cost at all.
It is important to note that in side-by side comparisons with organizations that provide similar services, we stand nearly alone in the very high percentage of dollars, more than 80% of all money spent utilized in education and care for those who attend school and live at Hanna Boys Center.
All donations are fully tax-deductible as allowed by IRS guidelines.
