Description:
The Behaviorist/Clinician will be responsible for providing one- to one and group therapy services and consultation with teachers to provide supportive behavior interventions to classrooms and students.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
As staff of school, attend and fully participate in staff meetings as appropriate
• Develop interventions, behavior assessments, and behavior plans for the purpose of providing a
safe and effective learning environment for students with special needs.
• Work closely with a team of educators using collaborative staffing model to serve both students with IEPs and legacy students,
• Follow established practices and procedures and suggest program improvements when needed.
• Prepare for and participate in IEP meetings as appropriate, write goals (clinical/behavioral as
appropriate)
• Write behavior intervention plans and conduct staff training in appropriate implementation of behavior implementation plans.
• Maintain notes and files on consultation and direct service.
• Prepare additional reports and data as appropriate.
• Performs other duties assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Deeply skilled in managing multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
• Current LCSW, MFT or School Psychologist certification
• Knowledge and the willingness to learn general needs and behaviors of students with special needs.
• Willing to learn teaching strategies and trauma-informed behavior and anger management techniques.
• Passion for education

• Great networking and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to convey information in an easy to understand, compelling, and engaging manner

• Valid CA state driver’s license

Requirements:
• Valid California driver’s license
• Fluency in English and Spanish
• LCSW, MFT, or School Psychologist Certification
Physical Requirements:
• Lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs. (occasionally)
• Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
• School room environment with desk or computer terminal
• Clear background check, pre-employment drug screening, and TB test
