The 2019–20 school year commemorates 75 years of changing lives at Hanna Boys Center. This school year also
coincides with the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the moon. What characteristics do these two events
have in common?
Vision. Faith. Hard work. Leadership. Perseverance. Resilience. Adaptability. Change. Sad times. Happy times.
Leaving a legacy.
Changing the life trajectory of traumatized young people, where we help them move away from repeating cycles of
despair and towards realizing their dreams, requires the same characteristics that enabled NASA to land humans on
the moon. As you know, the former does not receive as much fanfare as the latter. The 14th Annual Evening with
the All-Stars, therefore, is the opportunity to celebrate thousands of lives that have been put on the right path to
become a contributing member of society.
It seems appropriate that ”Fly Me to the Moon” is the theme of this year’s Evening with the All-Stars!
