I encourage everyone to extend a warm welcome to Cameron.”  said Hanna Board Chair, Daniel Young.

As the new CEO, Mr. Safarloo will work closely with the Hanna leadership team and the Board of Directors. “Hanna Boys Center’s long history as a haven for the most challenged youth and its responsiveness to the changing needs of this most vulnerable population is inspiring,” said Mr. Safarloo. “I am honored and grateful to the board for the opportunity to strengthen its mission of working together with the community and staff to build safe, nurturing, and resourceful infrastructure to better position this underserved youth population for resilience and long-term sustainable independence and success.”

This appointment is the culmination of a thoughtful and thorough process that began with the formation of a Board-directed Search Committee in the Summer of 2020. The Committee secured the services of executive search firm m/Oppenheim to support its recruitment efforts.

Mr. Safarloo takes over the chief executive role that was shared on an interim basis by Dr. Stefanie Smith (Chief Clinical Officer) and Tom Coughlan (Chief Development Officer).
